The experimental group received acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) (10 90-minute sessions), while the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were analyzed in SPSS software (version 22) using repeated measure analysis of variance using.
Results: The results pointed out that the ACT was effective in the reduction of body dysmorphic disorder (P<0.001) and rumination (P<0.001) in people with vitiligo, and this result continued until the follow-up phase.
Conclusion: As evidenced by the obtained results, the ACT can be used to reduce body dysmorphic disorder, rumination, and tensions in people with vitiligo.
