Introduction and Purpose: High variations exist in the children death rate within and between countries. Every child death is tragedy for the family, community and cares. According to the above mentioned, in the present study examined the epidemiological of death of the children under 5 years. Methods: this study was cross-sectional. Sample size was 184 death under -5 recorded at selected cities. Data collection was checklist that confirmed its validity and reliability. Data entry carried out in software of SPSS ver. 16 and data analysis was performed using frequency, rate and Chi-square test. Results: the incidence rate of death in children less than 5 years was 7.89 per 1000 live births. The major causes of children death was respiratory diseases and the majority of them had birth weight less than 2500 g(p<0.001). Birth rank 52.2% of children who have died was first child (p<0001). Also, in this study, 70.7% of mothers deliverie of children who have died were hysterotomy and education level of the majority of mothers 'and fathers' and the level of income households of children who have died were low (p<0.001). Conclusion: the results show that low birth weight, first birthday rank, Low levels of parental education and Low level of income household increase odds of children death. According to these results, it can be stated which the majority of child deaths are preventable.
