Aims & Scope

Health Research in Community is a journal that aims to promote community health and wellbeing through dissemination of quality research findings. The journal seeks to provide a platform for a vast and diverse array of researchers, practitioners, professional groups from different disciplines as well as policymakers to share their research findings, experiences, and perspectives on health-related issues that affect diverse communities. The journal also emphasizes the importance of all aspects of research in and for community including but not limited to social justice principles and evidence-based strategies for promoting community health, social determinants of health, cultural influences and community-based interventions on health outcomes and healthcare delivery. By publishing this journal, we envisage promotion of community health by providing policy makers with peer-reviewed evidence base.
As the main objective of this journal is community health promotion, the language of the journal was decided to be in Farsi (abstracts and bibliography in English) for the materials to be easily accessible to the broader Farsi readership both in Iran and other Farsi-speaking nations including Afghanistan, Tajikistan and a huge Iranian diaspora worldwide. Also, another very important consideration was to disseminate the research findings without any language barrier to the national policy makers for ease of reference and evidence based policy making.
Health Research in Community welcomes original research articles, reviews, case reports, editorial, and commentaries that address a wide range of topics related to community health. The journal encourages submissions that focus on, but are not limited to, the following areas:
