Introduction: Sex education is one of the important aspects of children's educational programs, which has been recognized as an important challenge for parents, and this study was conducted with the aim of evaluating interventions for sex education in Iran.
Materials and methods: In this systematic review, related articles from the main databases of Scopus, Proquest, PubMed, Science Direct, Springer Biomed Central, and from Persian databases including the database of Iranian medical science articles, the scientific information database of Jihad Daneshgahi and using the key The words sex education, education, educational intervention, parents, children, have been searched and investigated from 2014 to 2024 in Iran and both Persian and English languages.
Results: Out of 9400 articles found, 21 experimental and semi-experimental articles were selected and analyzed. The interventions carried out in the studies included training sessions, non-virtual training, training packages, multimedia training, and the use of educational aids, the variables measured in the studies; Knowledge, attitude, and performance in the field of sexual education and education had a positive effect on all variables.
Conclusion: The results from the reviewed studies showed that educational intervention related to effective sex education and training for parents, especially mothers, is important.
