Introduction& Purpose: Surveying the content analysis of scientific articles conducted in the field of Health systems Management through the clarification of priorities and outputs can aid decision-making on the part of managers concerned. The present study aimed to investigate the content analysis of articles published in scientific journals in the field of “Health system Management”.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 659 articles, published on 87 issues and excluded from four scientific journals (in the field of Health systems Management) were surveyed using the census method, dated from the first year of publishing to the end of 1393(Change this date if it is from Iranian calendar). A researcher-made check-list was used for data collection and descriptive statistical indexes were utilized for data analysis.

Results: Of the different areas in terms of issues, the highest percentage of published papers (23.4%) was for the Health systems Management and 18.4% belonged to the Human Resources Management. In 27.3% and 13.3% of the surveyed papers, the study population was limited to staff and managers respectively. More than two thirds of the papers (89.3%) were derived from an original article and 59.4% of them were descriptive and more than half of the papers were questionnaire-based.

Conclusion: Although the variety of issues regarding Health systems Management was remarkable, some areas such as space management, medical equipment and supplies need thorough studies. Thus, a balanced distribution of issues that emphasize the conduct of applied and novel researches are recommended
